Weclome!
Hello, I’m Sylvia,
Welcome to my review site, yournurseryworld.com, good to be with you. Pull up a seat, sit back with a coffee or tea, or whatever your preference, and let’s see what I can do to help you find your way through the maze of possibilities to the item that may well be the one for you.
About Me
I retired in 2019 after an unexpected bout of ill health and a lifetime in education, firstly as a teacher then head teacher and school inspector, all spent in the early and primary years (from babies to 11-years-of-age). I knew that retirement wouldn’t suit me but coming to an unexpected and sudden halt and then heading straight into Covid lockdowns, quite threw me. I wasn’t prepared. Not one bit! My first idea was to pick up my singing and piano playing, most enjoyable, but I needed more.
In senior positions in schools, you must research everything, from suitability to durability, from costs to safety and much more besides. It seemed strange to put my research skills on the shelf and so I began researching and my first foray on Amazon was into gardening accoutrements in an attempt to nurse our large garden into some semblance of grace – it didn’t quite work but it certainly helped.
Enjoying my newfound focus of learning to research on Amazon, I turned to considering items for my three grandchildren, aged 8, 2 and a genuine lockdown baby about to be born. All the smaller items could be delivered via the local supermarkets, but there were those larger purchases that needed research and a hand from Amazon to deliver. From there has sprung this site, yournurseryworld.com
Let me help you make up your mind
You’ve landed on this page because you are looking for something to do with babies and young children that I have already researched, or at least, I’m assuming that. If perchance you are looking for a drill bit, car tyre, red kettle or the latest fashion item, this site isn’t for you! There is an outside possibility that you were looking for gardening items as in horticultural nursery, well, I have researched those – all through lockdown – and will be posting my reviews in the not-too-distant future. For now, it’s the child-centred nursery that I’m working on. Thank you for joining me.
The goal here at yournurseryworld.com is that together, we can find what you want without YOU having to do all the work, because I’ve already done it for you! I’ve researched pros and cons and value for money and there have been times when good looks influence the final result. For some items I‘ve been able to rank the top ten and in every instance, you will read only the unvarnished truth.
If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out if I’m able. If I can’t, there’s sure to be someone who can.
All the best,
Sylvia
